Expertise: I hold an MA degree in humanities from the Steinhardt School of NYU. This degree was granted in an interdisciplinary program for which I studied Art, Architecture, History, and Literature of Modern Europe and of East Asia, primarily China and Japan. I hold a DA (Doctor of Arts degree from the Steinhardt School of NYU in Art Theory. This degree was granted in a program that required both the creation of a work or works of art and a full doctoral thesis. The focus of my creative project was two-fold. I created a major work of installation art that included a performance, as well as a work of computer art. Since earning my degree in 2000, I have written a number of articles on the subjects referenced by the keywords given above

Currrent Research: Philosophical studies regarding the grounds of art criticism, writing in the art world, and art education. My particular area of expertise is related to the function of writings by artists in the discourse(s) of the arts.
The creation of performance texts based on the legends and myths of early civilizations, including biblical stories, Egyptian mythology, and Greek mythology.
Creation of a collection of poetic texts based on the myths of Osiris and Orpheus.
Creation of a major performance installation exploring the issues of fatherhood.
