At the center of the Hudson Valley start-up ecosystem
As the home to initiatives like the Hudson Valley Venture Hub and Hudson Valley Mentors, our School of Business is a gathering place for entrepreneurs from all sectors of the fast-growing regional start-up economy. Our campus regularly hosts founders, investors and leaders, empowering students to build relationships and access resources that contribute to success long after you graduate.
The HV Venture Hub is a strategic community engagement initiative of the SUNY New Paltz School of Business. Our mission is to be a highly valued resource hub for the HV -- connecting the currently fragmented entrepreneurial ecosystem, and acting as a catalyst for creative collisions, communication, and collaboration.
HV Mentors is a mentorship program for growth-oriented entrepreneurs in New York’s Hudson Valley. In collaboration with SUNY New Paltz School of Business, we match our network of pro-bono mentors to local entrepreneurs in order to help address business challenges and milestones.
Established program, expert faculty
This is a new major, but there has been entrepreneurship education at New Paltz for decades. Our program is led by faculty who are not just respected academics, but business consultants and founders themselves.

Jason uses their beers to tell a story, crafting some of the most unique and adventurous beer in the state. From the spent grain to the delicate fermentations, it’s no surprise two of its creators are alumni of the English department at SUNY New Paltz.
Like a story, crafting a craft brew is not a singular, linear process. It’s about connecting the unexpected in creative ways.
A diverse and conscious incubation environment
Our program has tracks dedicated to social entrepreneurship and sustainability designed for students who want to generate a positive return to society. Our courses attract students from across our academically diverse campus, so you’ll work alongside not only business majors but also artists, engineers, teachers and many other kinds of scholars.
