Duties: The Economics Department at the State University of New York at New Paltz invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting in Fall 2024. We are seeking candidates who specialize in Econometrics and Microeconomics with applied research in the area of Industrial Organization, Public Finance, or Energy Economics.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
• Regularly teach Principles and Intermediate Microeconomics, Econometrics, and Senior Seminar in Economics
• Additional teaching responsibilities include upper-division courses in Industrial Organization, Public Finance, or Energy Economics
• Maintain excellence in teaching and an active program of research and publication
• Provide service to the department, and the university as a whole with active membership and participation in departmental and university-wide committees
• Student advising and mentorship
• Participate in recruitment activities

Qualifications: Required:
• PhD in Economics (all requirements completed by August 2024 if ABD)
• Prior teaching experience
