Duties: Teach two courses in Fall 2022: Design and Public Relations and Persuasion and Social Influence.
Design and Public Relations - Practical course in journalistic editing and design, with emphasis on producing publication-ready work for multimedia. Experience in public relations and in multi-media design is necessary. One major aspect of the course is the creation of interactive graphic elements, such as maps, timelines, and data visualization for web publication. Students develop full multimedia story packages for the web. (Mondays & Wednesdays 3:30 to 4:45 p.m.)
Theories of Persuasion – This course is an analysis of social aspects of influence and persuasion, cultural bases for belief and theories of attitude change. Furthermore, principals and process of influencing human behavior in a variety of contexts are also explored. (Mondays & Wednesdays 5:00 to 6:15 p.m.)
In-person instruction strongly preferred.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Communication or a related field and demonstrated success teaching at the college level. A PhD in Communication or doctorate in progress is preferred, but not required. Ability to teach classes in Strategic Communication is preferred, but not required.
