Duties: The School of Business at the State University of New York at New Paltz invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Business Analyticsposition starting Fall 2020.
The School is AACSB accredited and has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students. We currently offer undergraduate degrees in seven business majors, including Business Analytics, a general MBA and an MBA in Public Accountancy. The typical teaching load for pre-tenure faculty is three courses per semester. Faculty also participate in curriculum development and assessment, and engage in other service duties for the school and the college both internally and externally. An active research program yielding ongoing publication in peer-reviewed journals is required for tenure.

Qualifications: Required:
A Ph.D. degree with emphasis in quantitative modeling and analytics (e.g. the fields of Data Science, Marketing, Management Science, Operations Research, and Statistics). ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered.
Preferred:
• Candidates with ability to teach analytics in a specialized area, such as marketing, healthcare, sport, and/or human resource, are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to teach a wide range of courses including predictive analytics, data management, machine learning, and/or artificial intelligence.
• Proficiency with packages and software used in Business Analytics field (R, SAS, SQL, etc.)
• Demonstrated record or potential for peer-reviewed publications in the field
