LGBTQ Community at New Paltz

Getting Involved and Staying Connected

We offer a variety of ways to get involved with the LGBTQ+ community on campus:

LGBTQ+ Campus List-Serv

What is a listserv?

A listserv is an electronic mailing list that distributes e-mails to all subscribers.  Participants can both receive and send out messages to other listserv subscribers.

Subscribing isn't completely anonymous.  The listserv moderator and the Office of Computer Services has access to the list of subscribers.

LGBTQ+ Employee Listserv

Our employee listserv is designed for LGBTQ+ faculty and staff to facilitate communication, share information, and promote related events.

Faculty/staff can subscribe by emailing: lgbtq-l-subscribe@newpaltz.edu

LGBTQ+ Allies Listserv

Those who have completed an LGBTQ+ Allies Workshop are able to suscribe to the listserv, which contains faculty, staff, and students. This list is used to share and promote LGBTQ+ events to the broader campus community. For more information on completing an Allies workshop, see "LGBTQ+ Workshops and Trainings" on the left-hand column.

LGBTQ+ Instagram

Stay up to date with programs, events, and educational information regarding the LGBTQ+ Community by following @nplgbtq on Instagram. For those who do not have Instagram, we do post our upcoming programs and events on the Engage platform.

LGBTQ+ Clubs and Organizations

SUNY New Paltz has three currently active LGBTQ+ organizations and clubs.

New Paltz Pride, In Living Color, and Queens and Kings of New Paltz. Please contact the Center for Student Engagement for more information about how to join and their upcoming events.
