Erica Marks

Erica Marks joined SUNY New Paltz as vice president for Development & Alumni Relations in November, 2013. Marks reports to the president and serves on the College's senior leadership team. She leads all fundraising activities, oversees alumni relations, and also serves as executive director of the SUNY New Paltz Foundation.

Prior to her appointment at New Paltz, Marks served as interim vice president of Development & Alumni Relations at Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU-Poly) in Brooklyn, N.Y. Her 35-year fundraising career includes senior and leadership positions at a range of educational, social, and arts organizations including Columbia University School of the Arts, New York City Opera, Merce Cunningham Dance Company, The Actors Fund, and Washington D.C.'s Arena Stage.

Marks earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, and a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from New York University. She lives in Kingston, N.Y. with her husband, the artist Dan George.
