Colonel Joseph Davidson '90

Colonel (Ret. USA) Joseph Davidson '90 (first vice chair), is a senior manager for Deloitte & Touche LLP in Risk & Financial Advisory where he specializes in the Joseph Davidson ('90)  United States Military AcademyCrisis & Resilience practice group in the Cyber and Strategic Risk portfolio. Prior to this he served over 30 years in the U.S. Army, culminating as the deputy commandant of the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY. COL (Ret) Davidson was a cavalry officer who served in a variety of command and staff positions in combat brigades throughout the United States and overseas to include multiple combat deployments to Iraq. He commanded at every level through Colonel. He also served as the chief of staff for the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) where he managed and synchronized an organization of 1,500 people in support of the global Counter-IED mission.

He received a B.A. in political science from New Paltz and holds a master’s in military history from the U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College as well as an M.S. in national resource strategy from the National Defense University, Washington, DC. Colonel (Retired) Davidson is married to Mrs. Erin Davidson (nee Hennessy), an intellectual property attorney and partner at Haynes & Boone LLP.
