Jean Shin: Bodies of Knowledge
As platforms for generating and sharing information become increasingly dematerialized and intertwined with machine learning and artificial intelligence, Jean Shin’s sculptures, videos, and installations redirect our attention to the living beings and physical substrates on which human knowledge depends. This exhibition invites reflection on the tangible and human dimensions of how we create, preserve, and share understanding in the digital age.
The Arrested Image: Identity through the Lens of Law Enforcement
This exhibition takes a close look at portraits produced by police vision. By turning the gaze back onto how forms of law enforcement see and portray, The Arrested Image poses urgent questions about the relationship between identity and notions of truth, liberty, privacy, and justice in the face of rapidly advancing law enforcement technology.
