To be guaranteed a room on campus you must either:
- Be enrolled in at least one class per summer session requested. The class must be taught on campus. Students taking only online classes during any session may apply for summer housing but will get a room only if space permits. If taking classes, you must complete the Summer Residence Hall License by May 9th. Please read the rest of this page then download the Summer Residence Hall License 2018.
- Be employed, interning, participating in a summer program, or other endeavor through an office on campus. If you will be employed, interning, etc., through another office on campus, download the Summer Residence Hall License For Employees , Interns, Etc 2018 and skip the rest of this page.
HOW TO APPLY FOR SUMMER HOUSING
To reserve a room, you MUST complete the Summer Residence Hall License between April 16th and May 9th at the Office of Residence Life in Capen Hall. STUDENTS WHO FAIL TO RESERVE A ROOM BY 5PM ON MAY 9th WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED HOUSING.
To determine which of the options below you need to choose, please check Summer Schedule of Classes the Summer Session website and look for the session name/number and dates your summer classes will be in session. Match the session name/number and dates with the options below.
All summer residents MUST have a meal plan

Meal Plan Options
19 meals per week: $166.10 – 19 meals per week which can be used 7 days a week
15 meals per week: $139.90 – 15 meals per week which can only be used Monday – Friday ( there are no weekend meals on this plan)
The total meal charge is be determined by the number of weeks your specific summer session or sessions run
There are no meals during the Intersessions.
- You must inform anyone who will be sending you mail that envelopes or boxes sent to you must specify that you are a summer session resident.
- It is a resident’s responsibility to inform other parties regarding his/her summer mailing address and/or complete a Temporary Change Of Address form with the US Postal Service. Due to the Family Rights & Privacy Act, the college is unable to release this information for you. Mail that is not properly addressed may be delayed in getting to you.
