Department: Migrant Education

Budget Title: Clerical Specialist ll

Local Title: Data Specialist

Classification: Non-exempt salaried

Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate entry of student and family data and program services on the Migrant Education Statewide Data System; generate and analyze reports required by SED and those used for internal program use; maintain collaborative positive relationships with School Districts for the exchange of student information; maintain regular contact with NYS MEP Identification and Recruitment Staff; assist with new tutor hire orientation and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications: Required:
• 1-3 years of progressive experience in clerical functions
• Ability to use various computer software applications
• Proficiency in critical and analytical data management

Preferred:
• Associate’s Degree in a related field
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills
