SUNY New Paltz is located in central-Ulster County in the Mid-Hudson Valley. If you are considering moving here for employment there are a lot of vibrant cities and towns nearby to make a life in. Whether it’s in New Paltz herself, Newburgh over in Orange County, or Poughkeepsie in Dutchess County. Because we are only a short ride away by train, we also have a sizeable contingent that commutes in from New York City and further down state.
