The Office of Development & Alumni Relations

The purpose of the Office of Development & Alumni Relations is to build, retain and enhance relationships with individuals, corporations and foundations whose experience with the College propels them to invest their time, talents and financial resources in sustaining and strengthening the institution. Functionally, this purpose is fulfilled by offering:

The role of the Office of Development is to raise private support for the College from many constituencies, including alumni, faculty, staff, friends, students, corporations and foundations. Money raised is used to support the mission of the College, it faculty, programs, staff and students. The office consists of several units:

  • Major Gift Officers are responsible for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors and prospective donors.
  • The Donor Relations staff ensures that donors are recognized and thanked for their support.
  • The Development Operations staff provides for the careful handling of gifts received, keeps the database of alumni and donors in accurate and useable condition, ensures that all state and federal financial requirements are satisfied, and generally supports the activities of other staff in the office.
  • The Special Events staff helps to organize a broad range of activities in support of the College and the Office of Development & Alumni Relations.

The Office of Alumni Relations is charged with developing a global alumni community for the College and to nurture close and meaningful interaction with the College and among other alumni.
