Undergraduate Research

SUNY New Paltz Research and Creative Projects awards and Summer Undergraduate Research Experiences provide funding for summer undergraduate stipends.

Students can work with faculty members during the summer on research projects and get paid for it.  Typically, students will learn how to use research instrumentation including a nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (NMR), Fourier transform IR spectrometer, fluorescence and UV spectrometers, gas and liquid chromatographs and other essential equipment for their projects.
