Paul Tucci joins SNPF’s Audit Committee in a non-voting, advisory role.  Paul previously served the College at New Paltz as the Interim Assistant Vice President for Development Services and Chief Financial Officer of the Foundation from June 2016 through November 2016, and then again from October 2017 through December 2017. 

Prior to serving at the College, Paul had retired from the State University of New York in December 2015, where he served in various roles since 1979, the last eight years of which as the Vice President for Administration at Empire State College. As the Vice President, he administered an annual operating budget in excess of $90 million and a capital plan with projects' value exceeding $25 million. Paul was also Empire State College’s Research Foundation Operations Manager and Treasurer of the College Foundation.

Paul served a two-year term which ended in June 2015 as President of the State University Business Officers Association and also served on a number of ad hoc committees for the SUNY System Administration. His career at System Administration included the titles of Assistant University Auditor and an Assistant University Controller, and briefly was the University’s representative to the New York State Procurement Council. Paul also worked as the interim chief financial officer at Maritime College during 1999-2000.  

Since his retirement, Paul has also served as SUNY System Administration as Special Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer, assisting the Health Science Center at Brooklyn’s on organizational, compliance and financial matters related to the HSCB’s Foundation from February 2017 to May 2017.  He also provided similar consulting services to the SUNY College at Purchase related to its Development Office and the Purchase College Foundation from September 2018 through December 2018. 

Paul has a B.S. in Accounting from SUNY Albany and an M.B.A. from the College of St. Rose.  He is also a Certified Internal Auditor (inactive), and was a Past President and Board of Governor of the Albany Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors.  

His community involvement includes being President of the Board of Directors of the Lansingburgh Boys and Girls Club for six years, Treasurer for ten years, and has been on that Board continuously since 1982. He is currently President of the Crystal Lake Improvement Association in Averill Park, New York.
