Saturday Arts Lab (SAL) at SUNY New Paltz is a teaching and learning studio lab where children (ages 5-11) in grades K-6 engage in exploring art and ideas through a variety of art experiences. All classes are taught by advanced art education preservice teachers and are supervised by experienced SUNY New Paltz Art Education faculty.

In Saturday Arts Lab, young people follow their curiosity to explore ideas, make discoveries, and create meaningful art! SAL artists are placed in classes with similar-age peers and are supported in their artmaking by teachers who are advanced pre-service Art Education students in the Art Education program at SUNY New Paltz.
