Reynolds Scott-Childress of Kingston, New York, is a non-voting Faculty Representative. As a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of History, Scott-Childress specializes in the history of race and class in the late 19th century United States. He was honored as the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Teacher of the Year in 2010. He is the co-chair of the College’s Diversity & Inclusion Council and has served as the chair of the Curriculum Committee. “Rennie” is also the Alderman for Ward 3 in the City of Kingston, in which role he has served on and/or led multiple committees and has dedicated his efforts to reducing the costs of city government, enhancing city services, and improving economic opportunities for Kingston residents and businesses.
