Judicial Hearing Committee Member

 

One of three members assigned to a case of alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct for which a plea of not guilty was rendered. Hear statements of involved parties and witnesses, and collaboratively assess both the preponderance of evidence and recommended sanctions if applicable. Selected by the Student Association Senate, trained and supervised by the Dean of Students, and appointed by the College President.

Requirements/Prerequisites: Full-time, matriculated student with a minimum GPA of 2.00, no judicial sanctions within the last year.
Compensation: None 
Application Timeline: April-May for the next academic year.

Student Advocate

Advise students who have received paperwork regarding an alleged violation of the Student Code of Conduct, impart their student rights and responsibilities in the judicial process, and prepare them for upcoming Initial Conference and/or Judicial Hearing Committee meetings. In some cases, assist complainants in a case. Trained and supervised by the Dean of Students, an in consultation with the Student Association Attorney.

Requirements/Prerequisites: Full-time, matriculated student with a minimum GPA of 2.00, no judicial sanctions within the last year.
Compensation: None
