EOP Admission Ambassador

 

An EOP Student Ambassador is responsible for serving as a host to visiting prospective students and their families as well as providing guidance and information over the phone and through e-mail.

Requirements/Prerequisites: Full-time, matriculated Undergraduate student in good academic and judicial standing.

Men Valuing Professionalism (MVP)

 

Men Valuing Professionalism (MVP) - established by EOP in 2012 - is dedicated to developing leadership skills, teaching professionalism, and encouraging positive campus and community engagement. MVP has been designed to address the needs of our EOP male students and positively reinforces the desire for young men to pursue leadership positions on campus, while building the skills required to effectively do so.

Requirements/Prerequisites: Full-time, matriculated Undergraduate student in good academic and judicial standing.

Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) E-Board

 

An EOP Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) E-Board member oversees the functioning of the chapter. Initiates chapter meetings, programs and community service.

Requirements/Prerequisites: Full-time, matriculated Undergraduate student in good academic and judicial standing.

Women Empowered to Lead (W.E.L.)

Assists the group Advisor in developing leadership skills, teaching professionalism and strengthening self-confidence in young women. They conduct large group meetings with other women and put on educational programming for all to attend.

EOP Peer Mentor

Peer Mentors establish a helping relationship with their assigned first-year students. Their role is to strongly encourage the first-year students to fully utilize the support services that the EOP provides. They provide them with guidance and encouragement.

Requirements/Prerequisites: Full-time, matriculated Undergraduate student in good academic and judicial standing.  
Compensation: Minimum wage.

EOP Conference Assistant

Conference Assistant(s) are individuals who are interviewed and "hired", either via work-study or the First-year Intern Program, to aid in conference management.  They have added responsibilities and act as my liaison in events managements and planning.  Part of their duties are to work directly with the conference committee.

Requirements/Prerequisites: Full-time, matriculated Undergraduate student in good academic and judicial standing.  
Compensation: Minimum wage.

EOP Orientation Liaison

Acting as a resource for first year students and their families. Assisting in the presentation in the informational sessions. Facilitating workshops, presentations and discussions to provide students and their families with information and perspectives of campus life. Portraying the Educational Opportunity Program and its services in a professional manner to new students and parents.   

Requirements/Prerequisites: Full-time, matriculated Undergraduate student in good academic and judicial standing.  
Compensation: $1600 for summer term employment.

EOP Work Study

Support the duties of the main office staff and assist EOP advisors. Filing, answer phone calls, transfer calls to advisors, prepare mailings, run campus errands, maintain advisor’s calendar, make appointments, maintain department bulletin boards.

Requirements/Prerequisites: Full-time, matriculated Undergraduate student in good academic and judicial standing.  
Compensation: Minimum wage.
