From Our Community

Department of Theatre Arts on Instagram
The Department of Theatre Arts lost a legend this week. Joe Paparone was a beloved faculty member for more than 40 years, helping shape and direct the department from its early days to its current place as one of the top undergraduate theatre programs in the country.
A memorial statement from the department reads in part: "Every time we walk into a classroom, or the theatre, one of the shops or studios, or even just down the halls of McKenna and Parker, we--the members of the Department of Theatre Arts--are here, on this campus, doing what we do, because of the founders and builders of this program. This community exists because of the work, energy, and commitment of past faculty like our "Papa Joe". Simply put: We are grateful to Joe, from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for the legacy you have built."
