ARS270 Basic Sculpture

Introduction to the spatial concepts, materials and techniques utilized in sculpture. Students learn woodworking, metal fabrication and plaster casting while solving conceptual problems. An overview of sculpture (historical and contemporary) is researched and discussed. FEE FOR MATERIALS.Students must complete at least two Foundation courses before enrolling in a basic studio. Remaining Foundation classes may be taken concurrently with Basic studios.
