Brazil Teaching Resources: Online Bibliography
This searchable bibliography was created to support educators who teach about Brazil outside of Brazil. It features a curated collection of academic scholarship—articles, books, and chapters—selected with higher education teaching in mind.
You can explore the collection by using the search bar (to look up specific titles, authors, keywords, etc.) or by selecting a thematic category from the dropdown menu.
This collection is hosted on Zotero, a free and open-source bibliographic platform. You do not need a Zotero account to browse or access materials through the search interface above. If you prefer, you may also view the full collection directly on Zotero: Brazil Teaching Resources Library on Zotero.org. If you use Zotero and would like to join the group directly, please email me and I’ll be happy to send you an invitation. That way, you can access downloadable PDF files for many of the sources (strictly limited to open-access materials to ensure legal and ethical sharing).
If you’d like to suggest academic sources for inclusion, feel free to email them to me. You’re welcome to include PDF attachments, but please only send files that are clearly open-access or licensed for sharing.
This project was developed by Benjamin Junge, PhD (SUNY New Paltz), in collaboration with the Brazil Teachers Network and the US Network for Democracy in Brazil. The collection is in development, and feedback is welcome.
