A dedicated public servant and passionate political campaigner, Alexandria Wojcik has been working and fighting to change the world for real ever since finding her voice while attending college at SUNY New Paltz, where they earned a BA in English in and an MA in English in December. In June 2019, Alexandria was elected to a four-year term as Village of New Paltz Trustee; since June 2021, Alex has been serving as Deputy Mayor. Re-elected for a second term in November 2023, Alex continues to serve as a voice for fellow tenants and the planet with authenticity and verve. Also, since 2019, Alexandria has worked as an External Relations Associate with the New York State Senate Majority Conference. Before her tenure with the Senate, Alex worked on Antonio Delgado’s historic campaign for Congress. She is proud to have most recently worked to elect Manny Nneji as Ulster County District Attorney. Alex is an active volunteer with the New Paltz Pride Coalition, the New Paltz Democratic Committee, the Ulster County Democratic Committee, the Mid-Hudson Valley chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, New Paltz Climate Action Coalition, Ulster Activists, and the New Paltz Free Food Fridge. In their spare time, Alexandria writes poetry, wanders in the woods, and enjoys attending live music events in New Paltz and throughout Hudson Valley.
