NOTICE FROM PAYROLL: Delay of ABT salary increases
The unions were notified by the Governor's Office of Employee Relations (GOER) that the state is delaying the across-the-board (ATB) increases until September 30th, subject to further review at that time. This delay includes UUP salary increases scheduled for 7/1/2020 (professional) & 9/1/2020 (faculty). The 2019 salary schedules will remain in in effect until the raises are paid. The eligibility for increases remains the same and is outlined in the UUP agreement.

Student Capstones and Thesis Work

It was genuinely difficult to keep up with the staggering volume of galleries, exhibitions, original research and video presentations New Paltz students published at the end of the 2019-20 academic year. We'd like to take time this summer to spotlight individual projects and give this exceptional scholarship and creative work its due.

"Our obstacle detection device is a wearable device made to help blind and visually impaired people navigate more easily through their everyday environment. The device is made to be comfortable to wear, lightweight, non-intrusive and cost-effective. To ensure the quality of the product, drop tests and humidity tests simulating real-world environmental wear will also be briefly discussed to address the reliability against mechanical shock and moisture induced electrical failure."
