Student Capstones and Thesis Work

It was genuinely difficult to keep up with the staggering volume of galleries, exhibitions, original research and video presentations New Paltz students published at the end of the 2019-20 academic year. We'd like to take time this summer to spotlight individual projects and give this exceptional scholarship and creative work its due.

 

Today, a timely reminder that good design can support good democracy, from the 2020 Graphic Design BFA Thesis Show.

"Election dates, voter registration deadlines, polling places and other election information can be overwhelming to even the most politically informed citizens in the United States ... By creating a visual language along with clear and consistent guidelines for usage across a variety of mediums, this project improves accessibility and legibility of voter information and aims to give citizens access to the information they need to participate in democratic elections."
