The W.I.S.E. camp is catered to female students between the ages of 12 and 17. They work on a large scale project with three elements of engineering integrated into it: electrical, computer and mechanical. It is a 5-day camp that includes tours of three different companies, a Women In Engineering panel and a banquet at the end of the camp session.
W.I.S.E. is designed to help grow interest in the STEM field, improve self-confidence, and develop leadership skills and lasting friendships. The projects designed incorporate the use of modern engineering tools related to the three engineering disciplines while also creating unique and artistic pieces. Former WISE alumni and mentors are also invited on a panel to share their experiences and advice as female engineers in the professional world.
