Office of Veteran and Military Services
The Office of Veteran and Military Services is located in the Student Union (SUB 100 C & D). We are staffed with a full-time Coordinator, VA School Certifying Official, and VA Work Study Student. Our purpose is to provide assistance to all U.S. Service members, veterans, and dependents from application to graduation. Our services include, but are not limited to assisting with all benefits covered under the various GI Bill® programs, military tuition assistance (TA), veteran scholarships, general questions regarding Department of Veteran Affairs' issues, and free parking permits for military and veteran students. All current and prospective student veterans, service members, and their dependents are encouraged to take advantage of our services. Services For Students With Disabilities
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, SUNY New Paltz provides reasonable accommodations to any student with a disability. Sojourner Truth Library
The Sojourner Truth Library offers access to both online and print reference and information sources, including 140 databases and over 85,000 online and 240 print journals. The library has a print collection of 400,000 print books and more than 132,000 e-books. You can get help with research from a librarian in person, online, or by phone. Library hours are posted at http://library.newpaltz.edu and are announced on 845-257-3700. A validated New Paltz ID is required to borrow library materials and to access electronic resources.
