Center for Student Success

Peer Advising

In light of ongoing developments around COVID-19, the Center for Student Success will be discontinuing in-person tutoring services for the Spring 2020 semester including Subject Tutoring, Writers' Studio, and Academic Coaching. During this time, we will still provide tutoring through STAR-NY offered free to SUNY New Paltz students from 7PM-12AM, Sunday-Thursday through May 14, 2020. For full online tutoring offerings, please visit online tutoring.

If you need additional support, please "raise your hand" in Starfish.

The Peer Advisor Program helps support student success at New Paltz.  Peer Advisors help build academic skills, identify effective study strategies, navigate academic policy, and utilize campus resources.

Peer Advising: When and Where You Need It

In order to support you in the best way possible, Peer Advisors are available to meet for drop-in visits or for scheduled appointments.

For quick questions, Peer Advisors are available for drop-in visits in Wooster Hall.  Peer Advisors are also available to meet one-on-one, by appointment at the Center for Student Success.
