Student Affairs Values Awards are presented twice each year at Division-wide meetings to recognize individuals who have embodied our values, and to inspire others to follow suit, per the following guidelines:
- Individuals may be nominated for as many values as are applicable, but may only receive a reward for any given value once every five years.
- Any Student Affairs staff member employed at SUNY New Paltz for more than two FULL years may be nominated (i.e. for the 2020 August awards staff must have been employed by August 15, 2018).
- Any Student Affairs staff member employed at SUNY New Paltz for more than two FULL years may nominate another staff member or themselves.
- Nominations must be submitted to the appropriate department head, who will make a decision about whether to submit them to the VP and AVP. The VP and AVPs will determine the award recipients.
