The Office of Communication & Marketing is changing the process in which departments can request photography and video services.

In an effort to help schedule and prioritize photo and video assignments we have created an online photo and video request forms in my.newpaltz.edu that we will now be asking all departments to use when requesting these services. To request photography or video, you’ll need to login to my.newpaltz.edu and go to the Faculty/Staff Services tab, to the Employee Resources channel in the upper left, then click on the "Photography Services Request Form" or Video Services Request Form link.

Filling out the form does not ensure a photographer or videographer from the office will be assigned to your request, however. Because of reduced resources, we will evaluate each request based on staff availability and institutional priorities. For this reason, departments need to plan ahead when considering their photographic and video needs. In the event that we cannot accommodate your photo request, we have made arrangements to have a camera available for short-term loan in cooperation with the Department of Instructional Media Services. To schedule use of the IMS camera, contact that office directly at x3632.

We encourage everyone to share photographic, video and other promotional requests with our office as we continue our efforts to tell your stories through the Web, News Pulse, the Observer and other communication vehicles.

In the case where you desire professional images of your event, the Office of Communication & Marketing (x3245) can provide you with contact information for several professional photographers in the area. The College has used these individuals on many occasions and can offer samples of their work by contacting Design and Print Services at x3971.
