SUNY New Paltz President Donald P. Christian announces 2022 retirement after 12 years of leadership

As someone interested in a career in international relations, Gomez knew it was important to attend a college that offered vast opportunities inside and outside the classroom.

A scholarship recipient, study abroad participant, and member of the College's Scholar's Mentorship Program, Gomez took full advantage of the cutting-edge education provided by SUNY New Paltz.

“To the Scholar’s Mentorship Program and the family of Dr. Margaret Wade Lewis, I would like to say thank you for granting me this breath of financial relief for my senior year at New Paltz," said Gomez. "Having this scholarship on my side means so much to me and will help offset many extra expenses. This scholarship allows me to focus on other parts of my senior year, paying more attention to my thesis, and creating lasting memories with the Scholar’s Mentorship Program.”
