Local Title: Program Aide; Monday-Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm (core hours)

Duties: Program Aides perform a variety of substantive professional, technical, and administrative duties under the supervision and guidance of professional staff in human resources. Some illustrative duties include: applying analytical techniques as required by the program area; researching laws, rules, and regulations to find alternative approaches to administrative problems or issues; monitoring and evaluating data for deficiencies and assisting in correcting problems and collecting, tabulating, and analyzing data.

Qualifications: Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
• A current SUNY New Paltz employee reachable via his/her scores on the Program Aide promotional list.
• Have a current permanent appointment with 1 year of State service as a Program Aide.
• Hold a state title eligible for 70.1 transfer to Program Aide.
