Duties: The Department of Digital Media and Journalism at the State University of New York at New Paltz invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Digital Media Management position beginning in Fall 2018.
The successful candidate should be prepared to teach undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Media Programming and Management, Digital Media Content and Technology, Media Research Methods, and the capstone in Digital Media Convergence. Candidates will also have the opportunity to teach courses in their areas of specialization.
• A Ph.D. in Mass Communications or related field is required. Exceptional ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered.
• Evidence or promise of an active program of scholarship
• Ongoing publication in peer-reviewed publications is required for tenure.
• Experience teaching at the university level with evidence of teaching excellence.
