COVID-19 Bivalent (updated) Booster

CDC recommends that individuals ages 12 and older receive one Bivalent booster during the fall of 2022 if it has been at least 2 months since their last COVID-19 vaccine dose.

Either:

  • Final dose of a primary series
  • An original (monovalent) booster

Individuals who have had more than one original (monovalent) boosters should also receive a bivalent booster.

Student Health Service has the Pfizer Bivalent vaccination.  This vaccination can be used as a booster regardless which primary series or which monovalent booster you have received.

If you are a student and would like to receive this booster, please complete the screening form below and email it healthservice@newpaltz.edu.  In the email indicate which day of the week M-F, you would prefer to receive your booster.  Once we receive your form you will be contacted when we have enough students to use all the doses in a vial of vaccine.

Also, Student Health Service will have a walk-in booster clinic on October 26th from 2- 5pm at the Health Center.

The Emergency Use Authorization Fact Sheet for the vaccination is provided to answer questions you may have about the vaccine.
