Murali Chigurupati

Murali Chigurupati received his B.A. in Physics at Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  He is a software engineer and currently works on automated trading systems at A.R.T. Advisors since June of 2014.  Previously he worked at Thomson-Reuters and Credit Suisse also writing applications in finance. Prior to that he was chief engineer at FMS Software and wrote applications in computer-aided manufacturing.  Murali’s father, C.R. Seshu, taught Economics at New Paltz for 30 years. An annual fund and endowed scholarship were created for students of Economics in his name at SUNY New Paltz in 2017.
