May 2022: Initiatives and News: DDF MA

The first cohort of a brand new Master of Arts program in Digital Design & Fabrication will begin in fall '22.

Through an approach that blurs the traditional boundaries between art, engineering, design, fabrication, and science, the DDF MA program will enable students to take full advantage of advanced manufacturing and fabrication techniques. With the extensive resources of the Hudson Valley Additive Manufacturing Center (HVAMC) at their disposal, students will develop knowledge and skills that are applicable across a wide range of arts and industries, making them highly desirable candidates in many fields and with a diverse range of employers and clients.

The program was designed by current instructors in the DDF minor program and HVAMC staff. Students will emerge from the program with proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, knowledge of modern digital fabrication methods, and will produce/design a body of work using an array of additive manufacturing techniques.

Learn more about the new program on the DDF website.
