Camps: Ulster Arts Camp

PLEASE NOTE: Ulster Arts Camp has been canceled for summer 2020.

The School of Fine & Performing Arts at SUNY New Paltz partnered with The Art Effect in summer 2019 to launch Ulster Arts Camp, an extension of the Art Effect's popular Dutchess Arts Camp.

At Ulster Arts Camp, your child will enjoy a fun-filled summer of friendship, skill building and art making. Each week brings a new adventure. Our camp director creates wonderfully imaginative weekly themes, and our professional teaching artists develop creative projects around them.

Children are placed in small groups based on age (4-12), led by a teacher and an assistant in each group. Professional teaching artists use visual, media, and performing arts to foster self-expression and creativity in all of our campers. Campers will be immersed in colors, lines, shapes, textures, fabrics, clay, and sound as they develop new ideas and learn a variety skills. Children share their accomplishments for family and friends during each Friday exhibition and showcase.
