New Paltz ranks 6th in Northeast in U.S. News & World Report 2014 Best College’s Guidebook

New Paltz has advanced one spot in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. In the 2014 America’s Best College’s Guidebook, New Paltz was ranked sixth among best public regional universities in New England and the Mid-Atlantic with both bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. New Paltz also ranked 33rd among public and private regional universities in New England and the Mid-Atlantic with bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. New vice president for development and alumni relations appointed

Erica Marks will join the College as vice president for development and alumni relations on November 1. Marks will report to the president and serve on the College’s senior leadership team. She will lead all fundraising activities, including campaigns, annual giving, corporate and foundation giving, and planned gifts. Campus deadlines are approaching for several system-level recognition awards. A new Chancellor’s Award category—Excellence in Adjunct Teaching—has been introduced this year, and nomination dossiers are due to the Office of the Provost by Oct. 1 for review by the Committee on Research, Awards & Leaves.
