A specialist in education policy with a Ph.D. in political science from the University at Albany, Chancellor Malatras has held several high-ranking positions in New York State government

The first-ever fully online, live-streamed production from the Department of Theatre Arts opens this weekend! “Cadillac Crew” focuses on four women working in a civil rights office in 1960s Virginia, on the day of a highly anticipated speech by famed activist Rosa Parks.
Performances will be given on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 13, at 2 p.m. Advance RSVP is required to get the streaming link and join the virtual audience, and reservations are offered on a pay-what-you-can scale.

If I require accommodations for online classes, should I contact professors individually, or go through someone else?
The Disability Resource Center will continue to support students who require accommodations to support online learning in fall 2020. Read more in the Disability Resource Center FAQ about how the Center will adapt to new circumstances in fall 2020.
Students who require accommodations for online learning are encouraged to contact the Center at drc@newpaltz.edu to begin the conversation about receiving services.
The College also generally recommends that students provide advance notice to their instructors when they require accommodations or have other concerns about the course format, as a best practice to sustain open communication between students and faculty.

In an effort to make this very important information more digestible for campus community members, we're highlighting questions and answers in this newsletter, one per day, as the fall semester approaches.
