Research

My groups current research is focused on the development of catalysts for the two important chemical reactions shown below.  In the first reaction, known as a transfer hydrogenation reaction, hydrogen is transferred from formic acid to the alkene.  We are currently investigating a series of arene-ruthenium complexes with b-diketonate, b-ketoiminate, and b-diketiminate ligands for their activity as catalysts for this reaction.
