Web Space or Change of Ownership Request

Web space on a SUNY New Paltz Web server is available to student organizations recognized by the Student Association. Space is also available to faculty organizations that are officially recognized by the college administration.

In order to have Web space on the SUNY New Paltz server, you must agree to create and maintain a site that will be in compliance with the Web Accessibility Standards, as well as the SUNY New Paltz Web Guidelines. You (or the creator/maintainer) must also be familiar with FTP, HTML, graphic editing programs, and some basic UNIX commands.

The first step is to have Web space is to request what's called a "shell account" first. Login to my.newpaltz.edu and under "My.Personal Info" select "Request Shell Account." On that page at the bottom, click on the button that says "Request Shell Account." It will take about one business day to create.

After you have requested the shell account, please complete the following form to request Web space, or if your organization already has Web space and you would like to change the person that has access to it (include that note in the comments box):
