Each major candidate is required to take any two World Area courses from the following list:

ANT304 Ancient Mesoamerica (3)
ANT378 Cultures of South Asia (3)
ANT305 Cultures of South America (3)
ANT481 Transcultural Health (3)

AND

Any three upper-division electives (9 credits)

Majors are encouraged to go beyond the 42-hour program in order to develop greater concentrations in the particular sub-fields of anthropology. In addition to taking more courses within the anthropology curriculum, they are encouraged to study in the related fields.
