This Eight Semester Plan is provided as a general guideline. It DOES NOT reduce the importance of careful discussions between a student and his or her academic advisor.
Some degree requirements, such as those for upper division and liberal arts credits, may not be completely delineated in this plan. Students are responsible for reviewing their own Degree
Audit Report each semester to track their own progress toward degree requirements.
Please see additional
disclaimers and information about these Eight Semester Plans, which are currently under development.

Notes
*These courses are recommended, not required.
**If required by placement test.
It is not recommended to defer any of the following courses to later semesters: (a) Foreign Language and Math, (b) History of Jazz or History of Rock, (c) Jazz Theory I or Jazz Theory 2.
Because the Senior year has extra elective credits, students may be advised to do the following: 1) Defer one GE III required course from each semester of the junior year to the senior year, reducing the junior credit load. 2) Elect to take other music department courses such as theory, history, or composition offerings during the senior year. 3) Take Jazz Studies courses that are repeatable for credit: (a) Jazz Improv Workshop; (b) Piano III-Jazz; (c) Recording Techniques, (d) Jazz Instrumentation and Arranging
Total Credits: 124
