SED374 Teaching Science in the Secondary School

Constructivist views of science, science learning, and science teaching. Strategies for planning, managing, and assessing instruction especially for pupils demonstrating a wide range of backgrounds and abilities. The course will also include a series of structured instructional experiences intended to further students' first-hand knowledge of secondary schools and schooling.

  • Must be enrolled in the following level: Undergraduate
  • Must be enrolled in one of the following majors: Adolescence Ed: Chemistry, Adolescence Ed: Physics, Adolescence Ed: Math, Adolescence Ed: Spanish, Adolescence Ed: German, Adolescence Ed: Biology, Adolescence Ed: Social Studies
  • May not be enrolled in the following class: Freshman

Prerequisites

  • (SED350* or 36350*)

    * May be taken at the same time
