Career History

A professional actor, Connie has worked regionally and off-Broadway, created and performed sketch comedy with Alarm Dog Rep, as well as performed and taught as a guest artist. She currently works as an actor and movement director with Wallis Knot, an experimental theatre company based in NYC. She is a rogue artist with The Anthropologists.

Before coming to SUNY New Paltz, Connie served on the faculty at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (NYCDA) as the lead teacher of movement. She is a Guild Certified in the Feldenkrais Method® and has worked as a training program practitioner in the NYC Feldenkrais Method® Professional Training Programs. In addition to Feldenkrais, she has trained in the Viewpoints with Mary Overlie, Wendall Beavers, Anne Bogart, and The SITI Company; the Margolis Method with Kari Margolis; Linklater with Andrea Haring; Middendorf breath work with Juerg Rofler; and Trish Arnold work with Merry Conway.

She has taught Feldenkrais workshops and classes in a variety of settings throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan, actor movement workshops as a guest teacher at the FSU Asolo Conservatory, the Metro Playhouse, the Northeast Theatre Conservatory and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She is an invited guest workshop teacher at the Feldenkrais Institute of New York. She maintains a private practice in New Paltz.
