Admission to the Department of the Theatre Arts
Students wishing to be theatre majors must first be accepted to SUNY New Paltz through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Following this, the student can arrange to audition or interview for acceptance into the department as a major. Audition/Interview days are held every spring semester. Information regarding these auditions is available by calling the department office. Students are accepted as majors on the basis of potential and desire to do committed work in theatre.
