Affirmative Action

Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Statement:

SUNY New Paltz prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, disability, veteran status, martial status, or sexual orientation. This policy applies to recruitment, placement, promotion, training, transfer, retention, rate of pay, sabbatical leave, tuition waiver, study release, merit raise, and all other details and conditions of employment. In addition to complying with all applicable non-discrimination laws, SUNY New Paltz is also committed to taking affirmative action to ensure that all individuals have an equal opportunity for employment.

This policy is vital to achieving our goal of a high-quality, diverse work force within our college community. Further, this policy lays the foundation for competent and fair management for the  men and women with whom we work.

Any person with questions or concerns about the EEO/AA policy should contact the Affirmative Action Officer in HAB 203, who is responsible for the implementation of the College's Affirmative Action Programs.
