Printing Services
Distribution
Publications does not handle distribution of the materials designed or printed by our staff. You may contact the Mail Room for questions related to mailing, and Human Resources or Computer Services for issues related to labels.
ON-CAMPUS MAILINGS
The Print Shop can deliver work to the Mail Room that is intended for general distribution to faculty and staff. The Mail Room will send quantities to each department where it has a mail drop, based on the number of staff indicated by that department. This would need to be indicated on your work request form. Order 1000 for this type of distribution. Please contact the Mail Room and/or the Print Shop for details.
MAIL HOUSES
Projects intended for distribution through an off-campus mail service should be identified as such on your work request form. The Design Office needs this information when requesting quotations for off-campus printing, and the Print Shop needs to know so your materials can be properly boxed for shipping. You are responsible for funding and generating the purchase requisition for these services.
POSTING HANDBILLS
Campus
Outdoors: posting of handbills/flyers is permitted only on kiosks.
Inside buildings: flyers/posters are permitted on bulletin boards only. Some buildings require
permission/approval to post on bulletin boards. For postings in the Student Union, athletics
facilities, and Residence Halls check with the Office of College Activities. For use of bulletin
boards in the Haggerty Administration Building see the main office on each floor.
Village
Village ordinance prohibits posting of handbills in public places, including utility poles,
street signs, trash containers, public buildings/structures and vehicles in the Village of New
Paltz and on the SUNY New Paltz campus. The village assumes that the person, business or
entity whose name appears on the handbill is aware of its distribution. The village may charge
violators of this ordinance for cleanup costs and a penalty of up to $250. [Per e-mail from VP
