A WORD ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY

There is no staff photographer on campus. All images used in publications are purchased through specific photo shoots, taken from the images accumulated over time, or provided by the department requesting the work. You may provide photos with your manuscript, but whether or not we will be able to use them will depend on the quality of the image and the design constraints. Credits should be clearly marked on the back of the photo, or noted in your manuscript. (See the "Captions" entry in the Editorial Style Guide.)

Digital photographs need to be 300 dpi or more for reasonable reproduction in print. [See File Resolution - General Appendix B, and Digital File Formats - General Appendix C]
