Transcripts

Upon receipt of earned credits from your overseas institution site, we will convert the grades as necessary into the American equivalent. After doing so, we will provide your home institution with your transcripts, which may or may not be counted into your GPA, depending on the policy of your home campus. At SUNY New Paltz, grades received abroad are factored into your GPA. 

Depending on the grading procedures at the overseas institution, it can take up to two months, sometimes longer, for us to receive grades from abroad, so we ask that students be patient during this time.

Any grades that are incomplete may result in a hold on your transcripts, which will in turn take more time to process. Please be sure to straighten out any loose ends from your overseas institution, especially if graduating soon after your study abroad experience. We want you to graduate on time!
